The Wage Replacement for Excluded Immigrant Workers Coalition is comprised of immigrant & worker rights organizations across Washington. We organize to create a wage replacement program for excluded workers when they’ve lost their job through no fault of their own and to build a resilient economy that works for everyone.

Wage Replacement Program for Excluded Undocumented Workers
Every worker - no matter where they come from, how much they make, or their immigration status - deserves to have a pivotal safety net to fall back on if they lose their job. However, Washington State’s current unemployment system excludes certain workers solely because of their immigration status.
We are advocating to pass legislation that will create a program where undocumented workers can access support if they lose their jobs through no fault of their own. Our fight will continue in 2027 and we’ll need support from all Washingtonians to make this program a reality.
